Mir Space Station

Mir was a soviet Russia space station. Worlds first consistently inhabited long term research station in space, and the first of three generations type space.

Made in 1986 to 1996 was a moduler design, the space station was used for 15 years until March 23, 2001, deorbit from earths orbit and broke apart in space.

Hubble Telescope

The Hubble Telescope is a space telescope floating in Earths orbit. The telescope was launched into space by a shuttle in April 1990, The telescope was named after an American Astronomer Edwin Hubble. Hubble wasn't the first telescope in space, but is the largest space telescope and most versatile, it is known as a research tool and a public relations boon for Astronomy.

The Hubble Telescope was founded in 1970's, with an estimate launch in 1983, but the project was cancelled because of technical delays, budget and the Challenger disaster. Finally launched in 1990, scienctist found that the main mirror has been grounded incorrectly.

Roger the Alien

Little known about Roger, his planet has neverr been seen or been described, but sometimes he mentions it like its Earth? In a deleted scence he said his planet has walmarts and he was a greeter, collages and university.

People didn't know why Roger came to Earth until season 4 episode 18, he said that he was Earths decider for the future of mankind, later you findout that he's a test dummy for his planet's mothership. Roger is also sent to gather some Cholera, but Rogers been mooching since he's been on Earth, and he hasn't tried to leave yet.

Roger said he landed on the Earth when the Roswell UFO incident happen, he also invented the Disco in the 1970's and made millions of dollars. Roger also played for the USA olympic Team and fought for the vietnam war for some reason?

Sputnik

Sputnik was the first artificial satellite lanuch into low Orbit by the Soviet Union on October 4 1957, And was the first look of satellites known as the Sputnik Program. The Annoucement of the Sputnik Success was known as the Sputnik Crisis in the United States, And the Space Race Stated within the Cold War.

SputNik found higher atmosphere density, through measuring the satelittes orbital changes. It provided data on Radio-Signal distribution, it could detect meteoriods.

Sputnik-1 was launched during the International Geophysical Year from site #1 at the 5th Tyuratam.

The Great Red Spot

Jupiter's Great Red Spot is a huge, long lasting strom cloud inside the planets atmosphere. It is an Anti-Cyclonic(high pressure) Hurricane strom that is 17,000 miles long and 9,000 miles wide.

This is the biggest storm in the Solar System, the storm is so big that three Earths could fit in it with room to spare.

Jupiter's Great Red Spot was discovered in 1664 by Robert Hooke. The white spots on Jupiter also are storm clouds, The Reason why the storms and the planet is red, and orange is because of the chemicals and gas in the atmosphere.

Galileo Galilei

Galileo Galilei (1564-1642)

An italian Astronomer and physicist, was remember fo great important things for astronomy.

Early in his life he was taught by monks at Vallombrosa, after he went to the universe of Pisa in 1581 to study medicine. He started to learn to learn philosophy and mathematics and left without a degree.

He started to think about theories and Aristotle's theories. The same Year he was appointed to the chair of Mathematics in the university of Padua, which he remained until 1610. In Padua he invented a "Calculating Compass" for solving Mathematics problems. In 1609 he was inspired to built the first telescope. By December of the same year he built another telescope that was 20 times stronger.

Galileo Discouvered the craters on the moon, the stars in the milky way, and the four moons of jupiter. He wrote books of Astronomy, in 1613 published a book about sunspots, 1624 published a book on the Tides.
